Day 7: Mon 13 Feb - Da Lat to Hon Giao Pass to Nha Trang, 66km

Temp:  From the cool of Da Lat to the heat and humidity of the plains. I will take the latter any day.
After a very Vietnamese breakfast we headed out in the bus to clear the busy area. Stopped at a lovely little coffee shop where the coffee was like treacle and the hot chocolate was really strong and just flowing.
The ride itself was in two parts, the first being nearly entirely uphill, especially the last four kms which was steep, the second (30km) was totally downhill. We reached speeds over 65km/h and it was a pure adrenaline rush.  Having completed 66km for the day they decided to call it a day.
The transfer to the motel took about an hour and we were checked in by about 4:40pm.  I was happy to have a rest in my room for a while.
Dinner was a short walk from the motel and delicious as usual. The guides continue to find something different, although it’s all Vietnamese in style.  Finished the night with a wander through the area, all very busy and full of people, mostly local tourists. Another great day on tour.
